Currently finishing her Master's (ALM) degree in Sustainability at the Harvard Extension School, Val is dedicated to making an impact. Her thesis capstone focuses on analyzing socio-economic barriers to ground-mounted co-aggregated solar “APV” for improved soil health, decarbonization and rural economics. Val is a true advocate for building a more sustainable future.

Val is a dynamic self-starter with a diverse professional background that includes co-founding a language school, a Montessori school, and building an eco-cabin resort in rural, central Chile. Stateside, she has contributed to both private and public charter schools and diverse student populations. Her commitment to sustainability is evident in her role as the sustainability coordinator at All Saints Day School, where she spearheads GHG reduction and zero-waste initiatives.

Val holds a California real estate and property management license. She is certified in commercial investment and assists clients with residential, land, and commercial sales and leasing. Actively involved in her in-person and virtual communities, Val has served on the architectural review board for the city of Pacific Grove and on the board of Sustainable Pacific Grove. She currently serves as Event Director for the Harvard Extension School Sustainability Club and on the Blue School Board (Ventura).
